Chris Cornwell to  Perform Casino Royale theme

In a suprise move American singer Chris Cornwell will perform the theme song to the latest James Bond film. David Arnold as expected will also be involved. 

I must confess that I have never heard of Cornwell so I have no strong views on the selection one way or another. From a commercial standpoint it certainly makes sense to choose someone who will garner some airplay in the US and doubtless shift more records over there than some of the more esoteric British contenders who were linked to the job. 

It's been a while since a male vocalist was chosen for James Bond. I was hoping for a Her On Majesty's Secret Service style instrumental. Perhaps next time.
