Arild Brøter - A Spectre Of Sounds: James Bond Music Reimagined
We
were sent a link promoting a new album titled A Spectre Of Sounds:
James Bond Music Reimagined by Arild Brøter. Arild is a Norwegian
musician, songwriter and bandleader. He's also a big James Bond fan, as
you probably guessed already from the title of his album. The quote the
official site - 'The new arrangements seamlessly weave together the
sophistication of Bond’s world with the dynamic and exhilarating spirit
of rock music. Listeners can expect a sonic experience like never
before, as Arild injects new life into these familiar pieces of music,
transforming them into powerful instrumental rock masterpieces - yet at
the same time keeping both the grandness of the originals and the
typical James Bond vibes alive. The album’s production quality and
attention to detail underscore Arild’s commitment to delivering a fresh
perspective on the beloved classics.'
If you are familiar with
Shaken and Stirred: The David Arnold James Bond Project, A Spectre Of
Sounds: James Bond Music Reimagined is not entirely dissimilar - though
obviously without the guest star vocals and electronic theme. One thing
we liked about this album is that Arild has eschewed the actual Bond
songs for the most part (no one really needs new versions of these
familiar songs) and put the focus on exploring and reimagining the
scores rather than the title songs. A Spectre Of Sounds: James Bond
Music Reimagined is now available to buy in a variety of formats. If
you go to the link below you can listen to samples from the album and
it sounds pretty good to us.
